his is just a brief overview of all that went on this week/last week. There's a lot to cover this week, so I hope to see a lot more of you than last time. If you are a new member, please feel free to come!! There's so much to get involved in :)
Announcements:
* You all saw a preliminary drawing of the Logo last week, but it wasn't quite done. The Logo will come with an informational packet on how to make it a seal, how to use the graphic, how to use the type along with other cool features!! come to the meeting this Thursday to see the final product!
* You will be receiving an email regarding your Google Group later tonight that you will be able to communicate between your committee members - sign up for one if you aren't in a committee yet! (I'll email you after SECS Josh)
* THINK OF FUNDRAISING IDEAS!! we neeeeed money to order t-shirts soon!
* Blue Grant might be a good idea to apply for in November - up to 10,000 dollars!!
* Dinner announcements to the Greek houses went REALLY well!! We have 12-14 houses signed up, so its time to finish planning the event and get it rolling on Nov 5th!
Outreach:
* Green House Recycling
o Dinner announcements to final houses?
o work with marketing on bags w/ logo
o Follow up email to houses
o Packet for event instructions/suggestions
* Begin to think of how to outreach to COMMUNITY
o sub committee for Politics and Champaign outreach?
+ see when town meetings are, organizational meetings, outreach to the public, work with VIP in grade schools?
Research:
* Work on answering much needed questions for reports and minute details for the Green House Recycling
* Talk to Tom Johnson soon?
Events:
* Workshop/kickoff event - Oct 29th
o Leadership office consultation
o present pilot project
o ask for support/help
o brainstorming
o long term goals
o pictures/video at first meeting
* Leader meetings - Week before Oct 29th
o information to present to the groups
o nominate someone in group for meetings
* Living Green Week Barcrawl - Early Nov
o talk to managers of bars
o answer questions on how bars will be recycling
o if not, maybe buy cups to sell for discounted drinks all night?
Funding:
* Blue Grant
* Solidify fundraising idea to occur by next week
Marketing:
* T-Shirt Designs
o Small logo on front, large "More than Green " on back
o orange and blue, green and white, blue and yellow, something shocking colored

o mission statement, goals, tabs, and layout
